Kohima, Jan 19.The 8th Foundation Day of KROS College at Leirie, Kohima, was held 19th January 2019 with Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as the event’s honoured guest.
The Chief Minister addressed the event. congratulating the institution on its eight year of establishment, he said it was a college with a vision as it not only imparts quality education but encourages extra co-curricular activities. He praised the Proprietor Mr.Kevisiezolie Suohu, for his humanitarian act in accommodating the less fortunate and the poor. He lauded the college for giving special attention to women empowerment and rights as well.
The Chief Minister asked the young minds to work tirelessly for positive transformation of the Naga society with patience as social reformation cannot change overnight. Emphasizing on the importance of education , he said acquiring education was a lifelong process and not confined to schools and colleges alone. ” The more you learn, the higher you will climb the height of success, so you should take it seriously as your best may not be good enough for you to face the world”.
the Chief Minister was accompanied by Mr. Y.Patton, Deputy Chief Minister; and Mr.Mhathung Yanthan,Advisor for Horticulture. Earlier he inaugurated Shadze, a form of vintage point used during the ancient times, followed by opening of restrooms under the flagship of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.
