The Department of Social welfare, Department of Women Resource Development , Nagaland State Commission for Women, Nagaland State Social Welfare Board, State Hub for empowerment of Women, and Mission Shakti organized an International Womens’ Day programme on the theme “Digit ALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality” on 8th March 2023 at The Heritage Kohima. 11 girls attended the programme accompanied by one faculty, Mrs. Avelu Resuh. There were two sessions .
Dr. P. Kilemsungla , a Padma Shree Awardee and Former Member, UPSC was the chief guest in the first session wherein she enlightened the congregation on the theme.
A special Seminar on “Technical workshop for students/faculty” was organized for Students/ faculties in the second session where Dr. Theyiesinuo Keditsu and experts from NEILT and police presented on scope of IT and safety and Security in Digital spaces.
The students had a very informative, empowering and meaningful experience. The girls also received a certificate of participation.
