KROS College students visited Old Age Home, Kohima on 16th June 2012. Hours went by cosily as we sang songs and interacted with our elderly citizen over a hot cup of tea and sumptuous snacks. Their welcome smile, their boundless energyand humor and their oh-so-wise words and stories of yore filled us with just the right dash of zest.
This write-up is titled ‘in retrospect’ because we went with the notion that we could lift up their energy and life with our youthfulness and optimistic view of the world. Yet it was us that departed the home with a new-found respect and admiration for these elders who taught us to take life challenges by its tail, live and grow old with grace and dignity. Salute !
A big shout-out to the proprietor and the helpers for a job well-done. We wish you all echoing success.
