KROS College organised “Artistic Gala” – A group dance and band competition among Colleges and Schools in Kohima on 28th and 29th October 2022. The two day event was organised with an aim to bring about healthy competition and Foster Unity among Colleges and also to bridge the Gap between Schools and Colleges in Kohima. A total of 9 colleges Participated in the event. Miss Ruopfuzhano Whiso, former Miss Nagaland hosted the event.
Day 1- 28th October 2022
The first day of the event witnessed a Group dance Competition where Japfu Christian college emerged as first and won a cash prize of Rs 15000 with certificates. Kohima Science College and Sazolie College followed suit as the second and third each winning a cash prize of Rs 8000 and Rs 4000 respectively along with certificates. Er. Lanuwabang, Director, NIELIT, Kohima graced the event as the Special Guest and declared the Partnership of NIELIT, Kohima with the Computer Centre of KROS College. Miss Lamgrace and Fyre Flys were the Judge of the Group dance Category and ended the day with their special performance. Students from Model Higher Secondary School also enthralled the audience present with a song and a dance presentation.
Day 2- 29th October 2022
The second day of the event witnessed a band Competition where “Blue Hour” of KROS College emerged as the first winning a cash prize of Rs 30000 and an original song recording with Frequenzy Studio along with certificates and “In Between” of St. Joseph College, Jakhama emerged as the second winning a cash prize of Rs 20000 along with Certificates. Individual prizes of Rs 5000 each were also given away for best vocalist, best lead guitarist, best Drummer, Best Bassist and best showmanship. Trance Effect, a band from Nagaland graced the event as Judge and ended the day with a special performance with renditions from their music Album.
